MODELLING WITH OPACITY MAPPING

Making a texture appear translucent or transparent in IMVU is done with the use of an Opacity Map (also called an Alpha Map). Opacity Maps are additional grayscale textures that are imported with texture file.

In this project, I used some Bitmap files of buildings to create a street view. These images were masked out using Photoshop to get correct figure and applied on a render node of a plane(Here Arnold's Surface Shader). A Mask layer applied in Opacity node option under Geometry of the same Shader.
